Why do people hate nini smalls
Brian I am sorry. Your mom was always the best to me and my sisters. Especially after our mom died. She was so sweet and gave the best hugs.
She asked me if I remembered one of her sisters who was at our house constantly. She said it was because of my mom being insightful enough to know she needed a mom around. She also thought anyone who met your mom was blessed. They experienced an angel on earth. I was like wow; I know my mom made me and my siblings feel this way about her but to have someone share such a beautiful story. I think her description of mom was an accurate one.
It made me realize she treated everyone special. She opened her home all our friends, sometimes not knowing she was doing so. Our house became the meeting place for our group of friends before going out or sometimes staying there for a party or two.
I could go on with stories all day. Mom, thank you for being you and for being the very best mom to all of us. Dawn and Tom Hermiller wrote:. Jack was the best neighbor anyone could wish for. Karen L Hohl wrote:. Yesterday with the help of the Lord, I wrote this reflection and loving memory of my Godmother, Aunt Gen. During the sharing portion of her Visitation yesterday afternoon I decided to share it with family and friends. To my Godmother Genevieve M. Groener, Born into this world, December 6, Born into eternal Life, October 17, The greatest gift each of us can receive at the end of our life on this earth is to hear these words from our Lord.
When she opened her eyes I believe she met God, face to face and is now with Him forever, reunited and restored to her fullness and eternal beauty. I also believe and find comfort in realizing that she is reunited with all her loved ones who have passed before her- parents, grandparents, brothers and sister, family, friends- and sharing eternity with all the angels and saints throughout the generations.
I look forward to the day when I too will be called home and see her again! But this does not stop the sadness in missing her here and now for the rest of my life. What a remarkable, long and fruitful life your mom- grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and precious sister in Christ lived!
All the life experiences she had- being the eldest daughter of six siblings, losing her baby brother in an influenza epidemic, falling in love at such a young age, her first job, getting married and so soon after having her first of five children. She lived nearly years, a century, and in that time saw so much, learned so much and shared her life and her gifts with everyone she met. She has left me and each of us blessings and spiritual gifts just by her presence in this life and by her love.
Thank you for sharing her with me! I pray her fruitful life, love and legacy of love will continue to bless all of us for generations to come! Her devoted Goddaughter and your sister in Christ, Karen Postscript: As a woman of faith and spiritual seeker along with millions of others, many others, I still have so much to learn and understand. My understanding of Theology is also evolving and there are differing biblically based beliefs of what happens when we die. Are we immediately transported to 'heaven' and see the face of God or do we remain asleep in a holding pattern until the final Resurrection?
Still, as a personal reflection and memory, thank you for letting me share this with you. These memories were shared to me by my mom Margaret Charlotte Burke Hohl. She is 89 years young and was so looking forward to being 90 next January 9th so she and her dear older sister Gen, whom she affectionately called 'Genny," could celebrate together the marvel of making it into 90's, not a small feat, as almost everyone dealing with chronic age related illnesses can attest.
My mom, the youngest and now the only surviving daughter of Philip and Margaret Burke's children, has wonderful memories of the kindness of her older sister Genny, my Aunt and Godmother. I hope to hear and be able to record and share more, but two are still so vivid and treasured for her that I would like to share them with all of you.
First, because Grandma Burke was older when she was pregnant with my mom, and she was bedridden with "milk legs" excess fluid for some time after giving birth to her fifth and last child, My mom said that Genny was like a mother to her tenderly caring for her and playing with her.
My mom felt so special, like I was a "treasured living doll. Times were hard, money and jobs were scarce, My mom being the youngest of 5 children and the youngest daughter, grew up with hand-me-downs. As a young girl, she had a used pair of black boot ice skates but dreamed of having new white boot skates.
What a wonderful surprise that Christmas to receive a new pair of white skates from her big sister Genny! Gen had just started working after graduating from high school, so my mom must have been around age 10, and will always remember that Genny spent her first paycheck from her first job to buy those skates for her. What a wonderful sister Gen was to her! Patricia Keaveney wrote:. Sincere sympathy to the McGing family on the death of your dear mother. Ghaith Ghaffari wrote:.

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the passing of your dear father and grandfather. May God grant you peace as you go through this difficult time. Mom was always their for all of us in good times and bad times in our lives. She always listened to us praising us when we did something good and letting us know it was ok to sometimes fail.
She had Huge Heart and always put others before herself. I remember that all of us would get new clothes and shoes at Easter time and enough there was money left she would get something for herself. This being only one example of her generous nature.
She would always tell us how proud she was of all of us. I think she enjoyed our successes and triumphs more than we did. Mom I will forever be thankful that I was able to call you my Mom. Your smile that always accompanied our food. I feel like, given the chance, time, we would fight about Jo Koy lol. In another world, another lifetime perhaps. The dance we would dance when I tried to make sure AFIRE tipped you well, and you would refuse, and I would have to slip in some cash, only to find out later that you slipped in some ube halaya or dessert on-the-house.
