Movie frozen how does it end
Disney has shown a willingness to dive into some tough subject matter recently that has no easy answers. Big Hero 6 is about how easily grief can turn into rage and violence. Zootopia is about racial conflict and stereotyping. But Frozen II raises a question it has no interest in answering. If the conflict is about wrestling with the sins of the past, then to have the solution literally be magic is anticlimactic and would really only work if Frozen II were satirical.
The movie is not satirical. I get that Frozen II is a family film, but would people really be devastated if Arendelle had to be rebuilt? Nothing is really solved, but catastrophe is avoided in a way that feels unearned. The dog won't understand that Parker has died and will think she simply abandoned her, she says, and is likely to eventually die of starvation.
It's something all pet-owners would think about in that situation, making it one of the most genuine moments in horror history. The film ends with the driver saying they are going to a nearby hospital telling Parker she'll be okay, followed by Parker closing her eyes as she remembers Dan telling her she'll be okay. How did Anna save Elsa in Frozen 2? So that's what she does, with the help of the earth giants.
When the dam breaks and the water begins to flow down the fjord, Elsa is freed from her frozen statue and her powers are returned to her.
In saving the enchanted forest, through a domino effect, Anna saves Elsa again. What happened to Elsa's parents in frozen? Elsa and Anna's parents didn't die by shipwreck where we thought they'd died by shipwreck always a fun, uncomplicated topic for kids!
Does Elsa get married in frozen 2? Following that action-packed climax, Anna is crowned the new queen of Arendelle, taking over from Elsa, and marries her love Kristoff Jonathan Groff. Will Anna have powers in frozen 2? Anna doesn't have powers in the original 'Frozen' Although Elsa and Anna are sisters, Elsa is the only character with powers in the first Frozen movie.
In the teaser trailer for Frozen 2, viewers see Anna grab a sword from Kristoff and slash at the camera. How old is Elsa in frozen? Is Elsa and Anna sisters? Elsa, the elder sister, has the rare and deadly powers of being able to generate ice. They weren't even royal. That relationship also adds complexity to the theme of good versus evil, turning the tension into the movie into fear versus love, and how the sisters navigate that fear when they are afraid to hurt the person that they love.
Frozen 's original ending would have made a very different film and would have made "Let It Go" a villain song - and it would've been worse. Centering Elsa as a cold-hearted villain intent on Arendelle's destruction takes away from the emotional payoff when she finally overcomes her frozen heart. Taking away the relationship between the sisters reduces the movie into a struggle between good versus evil, instead of grappling with more complex themes about family and love, and the fear that comes with that.
Both Anna and Elsa's character arcs are cheapened in the original ending, and a far less satisfying narrative. Turning the movie into a story about two sisters overcoming their fear while trying to do the right thing makes the ending of Frozen the perfect, satisfying finale.
